Hernia Surgery (Angin Pasang)

When my son was like, around 7 weeks or so, I noticed a bulge atas sikit from his penis. When I poked the bulge, it gave out this squishy sound, macam bunyi baloon or something. As a first timer (in parenting), I was shocked, googled, cried, went to the doc,couldn't sleep, cried again, then called Sg Buloh to scheduled for a surgery.To make a long story short, after weeks and weeks of going to the hosp, the doc referred us to HKL. What?? So we went to Sg Buloh for weeks and weeks just to get referred to other place? Thats gov to you.

Fed up, so went to Salam and booked. By that time, he was already 1 year ++. And the bulge weren't getting any smaller so the surgery was scheduled 3 weeks after. Cuak sangat. I really pampered him weeks before the surgery with foood haha.

It was on June I think, we checked in the day before. The surgery was supposed to be at 10 am tomorrow morning. So around 7 pm, a nurse came in and says nak cucuk jarum for drip nanti. It was really too early for that but her reason was "tanak esok die marah-marah before doc cucuk". Sigh, alrite. I wanted to accompany him but the nurse refused. So I made Elmo go with him. Suddenly I heard this wail, horrid long wails coming from the other room. OMG SERIOUS KESIAN it went for a really really long time and then tibe-tibe the nurse came in and apologized, she said she couldn't find his vein since he's so pudgy and fair skinned. amende tah? dua tempat luka. kesian sangat, he was traumatized for a minute or so. Luckily there's Elmo to make him feel better.

And then we got bored and headed to Mamak, and went home just to kill time. Came the hardest part; FASTING.

I had to stop nursing him at 5 am (I couldn't sleep the whole night, doing what I do best; worrying). And the BEST part was all the nurses came barging in and woke him up, dahla tak boleh bagi susu, so I had to comfort him till 11 o'clock in the morning since he couldn't sleep without me nursing him so yeahh..penat sangat. The surgery went for like an hour, or maybe less than that. Anyway everything went well, he was up and running after the 4 hour nap.

Not so baby anymore

Thaq is growing so fast now, unstoppable, macam-macam dah tau..waa... mixed feelings.
Let's see, he finally loves going to the daycare, i think its because he finally learn how to watch tv and i think they pasang upin ipin all day long, so yeah, everytime pegi je salam n cium laju2 and trus blah. waaa..
and i've run out of milk supplies, still ada but not enough for the growing boy, so every now and then, he has to drink dugro, tried other brands and he hates every one of em. dugro pun minum gitu2 je..whattodo..

He knows how to pee, at first i didnt know that he knew so i tanyelah, "takif nak ceng2 dulu before shower?" and he ceng2 all over me!! waaa..
next time i tried asking the same thing, and he ceng2 all over the floor also, good boy!
And he can really takes instruction well, so senang sgt. Haritu i asked him to pass me his toy robot, to bawak to tok's house, so he grabbed the robot, and passed it to me, and watched me packed the robot.

Knows how to say mama, abah, cikliya(iyaa), cikyana, cikshah, tutup, bird, cat, grandpa (appa), nana, (banana), abangman (ababa), and some other stuff i cant recall. Basically he knows how to copy stuff we say, like haritu fikri main2 cakap "kuaja" he copied the exact word!! grrrr...

His teething period is always filled with tantrums, pukul-pukulan sana sini, fever, moodiness, demanding, but sometimes can be very very sweet, major mood swings tho. everytime he slap me i would turn away and ignored him for a few mins. he'll come up next to me and ketawa pura pura, ingat senang eh nak cheer mama up? so i ignored him somemore and he nudge me a few times, and fikri asked him to say sorry, and so he salam me, and kiss my cheeks, easy kan to win my heart back?silly baby.

Finally, we got rid of his hernia, at Salam, Shah Alam. Will blog about that in the next post.

Milestones

Baby learn so much already. He knows how to roll, finally and currently loves sleeping on his tummy. There's this one time I tried to change his diaper discreetly while he was sleeping, he got up, cried, rolled over and tried running away using his face . hmmm.

He hates noisy kids.. bila budak sergah je he would cry his merajuk cries and mulut turned downward macam ni :C haha so cute.

I fed him with oatmeal (boiled and blend), pears (which he loves), banana (poopoo jadi keras), apple and carrot. He hates porridge, makan je terus gagged and keluarkan. drama! And then complained about it for half and hour till I suap makanan lain. Sigh!

Loves going out, he would sit on me at the back , dreaming away while staring at the window. When we got back home, tutup pintu je he would grunt and clench his fists. Just like mom huh?

And I think he's teething dah, keeps rolling his tongue across his gums..so yeaa..have to prepare myself for that. that's all! love u silly baby!

We've already started giving Thaqif pureed fruits. Yay. Now his poopoo smells like nasty pears!

Milestones

How I love having a baby around. He's turning 6 in a couple of weeks so I have to get ready to wean this little one slowly..Let's see...
weights 9.3 kg, 68.5 cm long
He can now roll over dengan laju (at times)
Still a screamer and ppl pleaser.
Has dry patches around his tummy and legs..nurse kata maybe eczema but mcm takde rashes or gatal and she advised to get sebamed baby lotion. Baru guna 3 days so far no improvement. But it's not that bad. (I hope)
Loves loves loves cuddling. Sian now since I'm working full time he has to get up early and selalu badan lembik lembik je bila bawak turun. Usually he sleeps till 11 o'clock. My sis said large babies tend to sleep longer.

We went to Tesco a few days back and he was so jakun bila masuk pizzahut coz it was his first time and his head went in all directions, lagi dengan his deer caught on headlight eyes..haiyoyo..sian tengok budak kecik ni jakun.hehe but it was funny.

Baby Totif almost hits his 4 month mark yay. I'm still working fro Monday to Wednesday and that really helps, thanks to my boss.
Still breastfeeding and been pumping like mad at work like a coww  but got tired from doing it at times but a job is a job..I'm still determined to avoid FM cozzz its costly and I'd rather save my money for baby clothes and stuff.. That reminds me..he's outgrowing almost all his clothes at the mo so yeah..most of them are still brand new. Next baby's gonna be so lucky..mama tak payah shop2 dah. yeah riteeeee.

Let's see, little Totif's neck is getting stronger day by day cept he still hasnt yet rolled over. He can however lifts his head when lying flat on his stomach but usually lasts around 5 mins tops or else dia whimper.
Still sleeps with one of my arm around him otherwise he gets all kalut and flail his arms around our faces. :[
Recently hates the routine of going to sleep as he will scream bloody murder and cry so I had to swaddle and rock him gently to calm him down then baru I nursed him to sleep. Fussy man.
If anyone let's say my husband talks to me while I'm nursing, he will get all cranky and stop minum and complain . Probably saying "hey backoff this is my mummy time.omnomnom"

Got his first heavy phlegm and cough this week..poor baby. We gave him a sauna by letting the hot shower steamed the toilet then biar dia relax dalam toilet, buttnaked in my arms, and he fell asleep to that. This is to reduce and cairkan the phlegm. It kinda works..still ada sikit-sikit lagi.
Loves holding conversation with everyone, but have an extra soft spot for boys and grandmas. Haha. Kbai.

Oh happy day

Dear mummies dont blame me for the lack of clothing on thaqif's.it was my hubby's idea.anyway he was fine and it WAS a hot sunny day so I guess its okay :)
